Job Summary
Evaluate new and established patients with spine, orthopedic, and pain-related conditions, performing comprehensive history and physical examinations. Order and interpret diagnostic studies, develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians, and educate patients on diagnoses and recovery. Assist surgeons during orthopedic and spine procedures in the operating room while providing preoperative and postoperative patient management. Document encounters accurately within the electronic medical record and coordinate care with referring providers and imaging facilities. Monday through Friday daytime hours only; salary ranges from $130,000 to $200,000 based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA Certification
- Eligible for or currently licensed in New York and New Jersey
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Passion for delivering outstanding patient care
Desired Qualifications
- Surgical experience in Orthopedic Surgery, Spine Surgery, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, or another surgical specialty
- Comfortable assisting in the operating room
- Experience in orthopedic, spine, or pain management practice is a plus
- Exceptional new graduates with strong surgical rotations, excellent clinical references, and a genuine interest in orthopedic and spine surgery
