Job Summary
Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions by assisting in the cardiovascular operating room, obtaining patient histories, and performing assessments. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies while providing direct treatment and management with prescriptive authority. Counsel patients and families on treatment options and community resources, then document care delivery in accordance with specialty standards. Participate in staff orientation and education as assigned. Requires board certification, Texas Medical Board credentialed status, prescriptive authority, and minimum one year experience in cardiothoracic surgical first assisting with proficiency in endoscopic and open conduit harvest. Salary range starts at $140,000.
