Job Summary
Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions in collaboration with supervising physicians. Assist in cardiovascular operating rooms by obtaining patient histories, performing assessments, and interpreting diagnostic studies. Provide direct treatment and management through prescriptive authority or referrals, while counseling patients on treatment options and community resources. Document care delivery in accordance with specialty standards and participate in staff orientation. Requires board certification, prescriptive authority, and minimum one year of cardiothoracic surgical first-assisting experience with proficiency in endoscopic and open conduit harvest. Salary range is $140,000+ depending on qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- A board-certified Physician Assistant in good standing and credentialed by the Texas Medical Board with Prescriptive Authority
- minimum 1 year experience in cardiothoracic surgical first assisting

- Ability to work efficiently and flexibly in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
- Ability to address individuals and information with a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality in various situations
