Job Summary
Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions in the operating room by assisting surgeons, obtaining patient histories, and performing assessments. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies while providing direct treatment and management via prescriptive authority or referrals. Counsel patients and families on health conditions and treatment options, then document care delivery in accordance with specialty standards. Participate in staff orientation and education as assigned. Requires board certification, Texas Medical Board credentialed status with prescriptive authority, and minimum one year experience in cardiothoracic surgical first assisting. Salary range starts at $140,000.
Required Qualifications

- with proficiency in endoscopic and open conduit harvest
- Ability to work efficiently and flexibly in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
- Ability to address individuals and information with a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality in various situations
- Capacity to work well with physicians and other care providers as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare delivery team
