Job Summary
Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions in the cardiovascular operating room by obtaining patient histories, performing assessments, and interpreting diagnostic studies. Provide direct treatment and management through prescriptive authority or referrals, while counseling patients and families on treatment options and community resources. Document care delivery in accordance with specialty standards and participate in staff orientation. Requires board certification, Texas Medical Board credentialed status with prescriptive authority, and minimum one year experience in cardiothoracic surgical first assisting with proficiency in endoscopic and open conduit harvest. Salary range $140,000+ depending on qualifications.
Required Qualifications

- in good standing

- minimum 1 year experience in cardiothoracic surgical first assisting

- Ability to work efficiently and flexibly in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
- Ability to address individuals and information with a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality in various situations
- Capacity to work well with physicians and other care providers as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare delivery team
