Job Summary
Diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions in collaboration with supervising physicians. Assist in cardiovascular operating rooms, obtaining patient histories, performing assessments, and interpreting diagnostic studies. Provide direct treatment and management via prescriptive authority or referrals, while counseling patients and families on treatment options. Document care delivery in accordance with specialty standards and participate in staff orientation. Requires board certification, Texas Medical Board credentialed status, prescriptive authority, and minimum one year experience in cardiothoracic surgical first assisting with proficiency in endoscopic and open conduit harvest. Salary range $140,000+ depending on qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- A board-certified Physician Assistant in good standing and credentialed by the Texas Medical Board with Prescriptive Authority
