Job Summary
Assist supervising physicians in the cardiovascular operating room by diagnosing and treating adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions. Obtain patient histories, perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and provide direct treatment management using prescriptive authority. Counsel patients and families on treatment options and community resources while documenting care in accordance with specialty standards. Participate in staff orientation and education. Requires board certification, Texas Medical Board credentialed status with prescriptive authority, and minimum one year experience in cardiothoracic surgical first assisting with proficiency in endoscopic and open conduit harvest. Salary range starts at $140,000.
Required Qualifications
