Job Summary
Handle high-volume fresh tissue specimens and perform frozen section techniques to create microscopic slides reviewed by a pathologist during surgery. Create touch prep or smear slides, stain prepared fresh cytology specimens, and apply surgical pathology knowledge to support testing activities. Manage multiple time-sensitive clinical and research studies at various processing stages, ensuring sample integrity and correct patient identification. Provide operational support to maintain and optimize pathology testing activities in Mayo Clinic's pathology lab.

- 2 years in position before transferring to other roles
