Job Summary
Collaborate with the perioperative registered nurse to organize and administer age-specific care to patients, maintain a safe environment, and ensure physiologic responses to surgery are as expected. Scrub across multiple service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Maintain strong communication skills and the ability to make calls while multitasking independently. Requires Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) certification, current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification, and 2–3 years of experience. Schedule is 7:00 am to 3:00 pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an Surgical Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Must have strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Must be able to make calls
- Must be flexible, able to multitask and be able to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required with American Heart Association
- 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
- Every other weekend and Holiday
- Full Time
