Job Summary
Collaborate with the perioperative registered nurse to organize and administer age-specific care to patients in the surgical suite, ensuring safe patient outcomes and monitoring physiologic responses to surgery. Scrub across multiple service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes while ensuring the team operates efficiently. Work independently with strong communication skills, making calls as needed. Schedule includes day shifts from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, every other weekend, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High 60;School 60;diploma 60;or 60;equivalent
- Completion of an Surgical Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Must have strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Must be able to make calls
- Must be flexible, able to multitask and be able to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) required
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required with American Heart Association
