Job Summary
Organize and administer age-specific care to patients in the surgical suite while collaborating with the perioperative registered nurse to ensure safe outcomes and monitor physiologic responses. Scrub across multiple service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic, and trauma cases. Maintain an environment that facilitates patient safety and make calls as needed. Requires Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) certification, current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification, and 2–3 years of experience. Schedule includes 7:00 am to 3:00 pm shifts, every other weekend, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an Surgical Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Must have strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Must be able to make calls
- Must be flexible, able to multitask and be able to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required with American Heart Association
- 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
- Every other weekend and Holiday
- Part Time
