Job Summary
Collaborate with the perioperative registered nurse to organize and administer age-specific care for patients in the surgical suite. Maintain a safe environment that facilitates positive patient outcomes while ensuring physiologic responses to surgery are as expected across service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Scrub independently and make calls while multitasking in a fast-paced setting. Requires Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) certification, current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification, and 2–3 years of experience. Work a day shift from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an Surgical Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Must have strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Must be able to make calls
- Must be flexible
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be able to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required with American Heart Association
- 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
- Every other weekend and Holiday
- Part Time
