Job Summary
Collaborate with the perioperative registered nurse to organize and administer age-specific care for patients within the surgical suite, ensuring physiologic responses remain expected. Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes while scrubbing across service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Work independently with strong communication skills, making calls and multitasking as required. Schedule runs 7:00 am to 3:00 pm with every other weekend and holiday coverage as part of a part-time role.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an Surgical Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Ability to make calls
- Flexibility
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
- 7:00 am - 3:00 pm shift
- Every other weekend and Holiday availability
- Part Time status
