Job Summary
Organize and administer age-specific care to patients in the surgical suite while collaborating with the perioperative registered nurse to maintain safe patient outcomes. Scrub across multiple service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Ensure patient physiologic responses to surgery are as expected across the perioperative division. Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes and make calls as needed. Work independently while multitasking with strong verbal and written communication skills. Operate from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, rotating every other weekend and holidays as a full-time Certified Surgical Technician.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Surgical Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Ability to make calls
- Flexibility
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
- Availability for 7:00 am - 3:00 pm shifts
- Availability for every other weekend and Holiday
- Full Time employment status
