Job Summary
Collaborate with the perioperative registered nurse to organize and administer individualized, age-specific care to patients in the surgical suite. Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes and ensure physiologic responses to surgery are as expected across the perioperative division. Scrub for diverse service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Work independently with strong communication skills, making calls as needed while multitasking. Shift runs 11:00 am to 7:00 pm with every other weekend and holiday coverage. Requires Certified Surgical Technician certification, BLS certification, and 2–3 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an OR Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Ability to make calls
- Flexibility
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
- Availability for Every other weekend and Holiday
- Full Time employment
