Job Summary
Collaborate with the perioperative registered nurse to organize and administer age-specific care to patients while maintaining an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes. Scrub across multiple service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Ensure patient physiologic responses to surgery remain expected throughout the surgical suite and perioperative division. Maintain Certified Surgical Technician certification and current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association. Work the 11:00 am to 7:00 pm shift every other weekend and holiday as a full-time member of the team at RWJBarnabas Health.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an OR Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Ability to make calls
- Flexibility
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
- Availability for Every other weekend and Holiday
- Full Time employment
