Job Summary
Collaborate with the perioperative registered nurse to organize and administer age-specific care to patients while maintaining an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes. Scrub across service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Ensure patients' physiologic responses to surgery are as expected within the surgical suite and across the perioperative division. Work independently with strong communication skills, making calls as needed. Evening shifts run from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with every other weekend and holiday coverage. Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) and current BLS certification required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an Surgical Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Must have strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Must be able to make calls
- Must be flexible
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be able to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required with American Heart Association
- 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
- Every other weekend and Holiday
- Full Time
