Job Summary
Scrub for service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Deliver patient care before, during, and after surgery while making calls, multitasking, and working independently. Maintain Certified Surgical Technician, NBSTSA, and BLS certifications. Work evening shifts from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm with alternating weekends, holidays, and call coverage. Join RWJBarnabas Health as a member of the surgical team in the Operating Room department.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an OR Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Ability to make calls
- Flexibility
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician certification
- NBSTSA Certification
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
- Availability for 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm shifts
- Full Time employment status
- Willingness to work alternating weekends, holidays and call coverage
