Job Summary
Act as a member of the surgical team under the direction of a Registered Nurse, working with surgeons and RNs to deliver patient care before, during, and after surgery. Scrub service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Maintain strong communication skills, make calls, and independently multitask while adhering to evening shifts from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm with alternating weekends, holidays, and call coverage. Requires Certified Surgical Technician, NBSTSA, and BLS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an OR Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Ability to make calls
- Flexibility
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician
- NBSTSA Certification
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
- Availability for 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm shift
- Full Time employment
- Alternating Weekends, holidays and call coverage
