Job Summary
Scrub for robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Deliver patient care before, during, and after surgery while making calls, multitasking, and working independently. Maintain Certified Surgical Technician and NBSTSA certifications alongside current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification. Work evening shifts from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm with alternating weekends, holidays, and call coverage. Join RWJBarnabas Health as part of the premier academic health system in New Jersey.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an OR Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Ability to make calls
- Flexibility
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician
- NBSTSA Certification
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
- Availability for 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm shift
- Full Time employment
- Alternating Weekends, holidays and call coverage
