Job Summary
Maintain a sterile environment before and during surgical procedures while delivering safe, effective, and quality patient-centered care in the perioperative suite. Operate under the supervision of a perioperative registered nurse to demonstrate consistent knowledge, skills, and behaviors that meet established standards, guidelines, and protocols for care delivery. Continuously improve practice settings by engaging in teamwork training and continuing education to enhance outcomes for patients and families throughout the continuum.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Completion of Surgical Technologist Program or on-the-job training with at least 5 years
- BLS obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in healthcare setting
- Surgical Tech Certification
