Job Summary
Surgical Oncology RN provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a surgical oncology setting. Responsibilities include assessing patients at admission and each shift, performing procedures and documenting care, administering prescribed medications and monitoring responses, responding to patient needs, and educating patients, families, and caregivers about the condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures. Requires an RN with an associate degree or diploma or BSN; BLS/ACLS within 30 days; one year of in-patient care preferred, with post-surgical floor experience and drains preferred. Required Qualifications
- RN license
- Associate Degree or RN Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start
- One year of in-patient care experience preferred
- Experience on a post-surgical floor with drains preferred
