Job Summary
Fellowship-trained, board-certified Surgical Oncologist sought to join MercyOne Iowa’s cancer program in Des Moines. Key responsibilities include performing comprehensive solid tumor surgeries (GI/hepatobiliary/pancreatic malignancies), cytoreduction HIPEC, Whipple procedures, SLN mapping, and other complex oncologic operations using robotic-assisted techniques on the DaVinci Xi platform. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participate in clinical trials, provide patient-centered care with an EMR (EPIC) workflow, and contribute to teaching with tumor board discussions and collaboration with medical and radiation oncologists. Clinic half days and block OR time are part of the schedule; moving assistance is available up to $15,000, with base salary of $600,000 plus a $200,000 recruitment incentive. Benefits include paid malpractice with tail coverage, 403B with match and 457B, and CME allowance up to $6,000 per year. Visa sponsorship (J-1/H-1B) is welcome.
Required Qualifications
