Surgical Nurse (RN) / OR Surgical RN

RN OR nurse role providing professional nursing care in the surgical setting in accordance with ANA standards and YNHHS policies. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, evaluation), coordinating care with the health care team, promoting health teaching and promotion, and maintaining patient-centered care. Requires licensure as a registered nurse (CT) and BSN preferred; BCLS certification required within one month of hire; SPIRE clinical advancement encouraged. Experience as an OR RN is noted; physical demands include standing/walking for extended periods and exposure to infectious diseases.
