Surgical Nurse (RN) / OR Surgical RN

RN in the operating room setting responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care in alignment with ANA standards and the YNHHS model. Responsibilities include applying nursing processes (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation), coordinating care, health teaching, and collaboration with the health care team to ensure safe, evidence-based perioperative outcomes. Requirements include licensure as a registered nurse in Connecticut, Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred), and current BCLS certification (or obtain within one month of hire). Special Skills emphasize leadership, ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, and ongoing professional development through SPIRE.
