Surgical Nurse (RN) / OR Surgical RN

Operating room RN position for Surgical Nurse (RN) in the Yale New Haven Health System. Provides patient-centered nursing care in the OR, adhering to ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, professional practice model, and organizational values. Responsibilities include performing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, evaluation), coordinating care, communicating effectively with patients, families, and health care team, and promoting ethical, culturally competent, evidence-based practice. Requires Connecticut RN licensure; BSN preferred; BCLS certification within 1 month of hire; OR experience and SPIRE clinical advancement encouraged. Physical demands include standing, lifting patients up to 300 pounds, and exposure to infectious diseases.
