Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in the OR setting providing surgical care aligned with ANA Standards of Practice. Responsibilities include applying the Standards of Practice across assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation and evaluation; practicing professional performance with ethics, culturally congruent care, leadership and education; collaborating with patients, families and the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered outcomes. BSN is preferred; current BCLS certification required or to be obtained within one month of hire; SPIRE clinical advancement program participation encouraged to support ongoing professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Current Connecticut nursing licensure
- BCLS certification (or within one month of hire)
- Experience in operating room nursing preferred
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
