Surgical Nurse (RN) / OR Surgical RN

Operating as an OR Surgical RN, provide professional nursing care in the operating room within Yale New Haven Health System; adhere to ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, ethics, leadership and collaboration with the health care team to ensure patient-centered outcomes. Responsibilities include following established nursing processes (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, evaluation), coordinating care during perioperative periods, and promoting safety and quality in the surgical setting. Requires an active Connecticut RN license, BSN preferred, and BCLS certification (or obtain within one month of hire); clinical specialty certification encouraged.
