Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in the OR setting responsible for providing comprehensive perioperative care in alignment with ANA Standards.Responsibilities include applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation), ensuring patient-centered, culturally congruent care, collaborating with the health care team, maintaining ethical practice, and pursuing ongoing professional development (e.g., SPIRE advancement). The role emphasizes leadership, effective communication, evidence-based practice, and adherence to professional standards. BSN preferred; current BCLS certification required (or obtained within one month of hire). Licensure as a registered nurse in the relevant state is required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current valid RN licensure in the state of Maryland (as applicable)
- BCLS certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire
- BSN preferred or higher
- Experience in operating room nursing or ORRN experience desirable
