Surgical Nurse (RN) / OR Surgical RN

Registered Nurse in Operating Room (RN in OR) provides patient-centered care per ANA standards, practicing under Connecticut Nurse Practice Act with emphasis on leadership, delegation, collaboration, effective communication, and quality outcomes. Responsibilities align with the ANA Standards of Practice: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, health teaching and health promotion, and evaluation, plus adherence to ANA Standards of Professional Performance including ethics, cultural congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. Requires BSN (preferred), current CT RN licensure, and BCLS certification (or obtained within one month of hire), with emphasis on OR nursing experience and SPIRE clinical advancement program participation.
