Surgical Nurse (RN) / OR Surgical RN

Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in the OR setting provides professional nursing care within Yale New Haven Health System’s standards, applying ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, and coordinating care through assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN collaborates with patients, families, and the health care team, communicates effectively, and contributes to quality outcomes while upholding ethical, culturally congruent practice and the organization’s values. This role requires completion of an accredited nursing program, active CT RN licensure, and ongoing commitment to professional development (SPIRE program) with emphasis on leadership, delegation, and evidence-based practice.
