Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in the surgical/operating room (OR) environment providing patient-centered perioperative care. Adheres to ANA Scope and Standards of Practice; utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, evaluation); coordinates care with the patient, family, and health-care team; delivers health teaching and promotes safe, ethical, evidence-based practice; demonstrates leadership and collaboration within the OR team; maintains professional practice standards and participates in SPIRE clinical advancement programs as applicable. Requires BSN preferred, CT licensure, and current BCLS certification; hospital-based OR nursing experience is common in this role; emphasis on culturally congruent and high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire.
Additional Requirements
- Connecticut licensure required
- OR nursing experience preferred
