Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room setting for Yale New Haven Health System; adheres to ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and YNHHS professional practice model. Responsibilities include applying nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, evaluation), coordinating care, health teaching, and collaborating with patients, families, and the health care team. Requires current Connecticut RN licensure; BSN preferred; BCLS certification within one month of hire; encourages participation in SPIRE clinical advancement program; emphasis on ethics, culturally congruent practice, leadership, and evidence-based practice.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BSN preferred
- Current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
