Surgical Nurse (RN) / OR Surgical RN

RN in the OR at Yale New Haven Health System provides patient-centered care in the surgical environment. Responsibilities emphasize standards of practice, professional performance, and collaboration with the healthcare team to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in accordance with ANA guidelines and the YNHHS practice model. The role requires nursing leadership, effective communication, ethics, cultural competence, and dedication to quality outcomes, with emphasis on health teaching, coordination of care, and evidence-based practice to support the patient and family throughout the perioperative process. BSN preferred; CT licensure required; BCLS required or obtainable within one month of hire.
