Job Summary
Surgical Nurse (RN) to provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room, adhering to ANA standards of practice and professional performance guidelines. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, collaboration with health care team, culturally congruent practice, health teaching, and ensuring quality outcomes. Requires active RN licensure in Connecticut, BSN preferred, and BCLS certification; expected to uphold professional standards and participate in SPIRE clinical advancement program. Prolonged standing and exposure to infectious diseases are possible; ability to lift patients and work in a high-stress environment is required. Experienced OR RNs encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. Current Connecticut RN licensure. Current BCLS certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire.
