Surgical ICU Registered Nurse

Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Surgical ICU in collaboration with medical providers and a multidisciplinary care team. Document administration of care in the patient medical record, educate patients/families/caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications and follow-up measures, and translate complex medical terminology for clear understanding. Engage in teaching about non-medicinal follow-up measures such as diet and exercise, and participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental performance.
