Job Summary
Coordinate pre-operative cases, meet patients, and explain procedures while obtaining necessary documentation. Provide first assist support during surgical procedures, including patient positioning, sterile field maintenance, and anticipating surgeon needs. Assist with post-operative patient transfers and PACU handovers, then complete required documentation. Participate in clinical and operational projects focused on education, training, and process improvement. This role requires at least two years of surgical assisting experience in spine, robotics GYN, and urology, with orthopedics experience a plus. Candidates must hold appropriate credentials such as RNFA, PA, NP, or LSA, along with current state licensure and strong EMR proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- at least 2 years of surgical assisting experience
- experience assisting in spine and robotics GYN and urology
- excellent computer skills, specifically MS Office, and EMR
- graduate of an Accredited Master's Degree program for Physician Assistant Studies for PAs, or a Master/Doctoral Degree Program in Nurse Practitioner Studies for NPs
- current state license where practicing
- National Commissioned Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
