Job Summary
Provide first assist support during surgical procedures across Spine, Robotics, GYN, General, and Orthopedics specialties. Confirm cases, meet patients, and coordinate with OR staff before procedures begin. Assist with patient positioning, maintain sterile fields, and anticipate surgeon needs intraoperatively. After surgery, facilitate patient transfer, provide PACU handover, and complete necessary documentation. Participate in clinical projects, education, training, and process improvement initiatives. Requires two years of surgical assisting experience and current state licensure. Full-time, 1099, or PTE options available with comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and 401k benefits.
Required Qualifications
- at least 2 years of surgical assisting experience
- experience assisting in Spine, Ortho, Neuro, General, Robotics and GYN
- excellent computer skills, specifically MS Office, and EMR
- graduate of an Accredited Master's Degree program for Physician Assistant Studies for PAs, or a Master/Doctoral Degree Program in Nurse Practitioner Studies for NPs
- current state license where practicing
- National Commissioned Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PAs
