Job Summary
Surgical First Assist - PA combining OR duties with Medical Surgical floor coverage. Manage orders, admissions, discharges, and consults for General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic patients. Flexible shifts available: 4×10-hour or 5×8-hour weeks with daytime and evening coverage and call responsibilities. Competitive compensation of $135,000-$150,000 with a $5,000 signing bonus and relocation up to $7,500, plus licensing dues and CME stipends. Includes comprehensive benefits (health insurance, retirement) and time off. Based at Canton-Potsdam Hospital as part of St. Lawrence Health.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Advanced Practice Provider (PA)
- Surgical First Assist experience or equivalent training in OR procedures
- Ability to manage surgical and floor duties including orders, admissions, discharges, and consults for General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic patients
- Eligibility for professional licensure and dues payments; CME eligibility
