Job Summary
Serve as a trusted first assist during robotic and traditional surgeries across GYN, urology, OB, spine, and orthopedics, anticipating surgeon needs and maintaining a sterile field. Connect with patients pre-operatively to ensure they feel informed, confirm cases, manage documentation, and provide detailed handovers to PACU staff for continuity of care. Engage in clinical and operational improvement projects, including training and process enhancements, while expanding expertise in new surgical specialties. Requires a minimum of two years as a Surgical First Assist with robotics experience, an accredited PA, NP, RNFA, or CSA degree, and active state licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years as a Surgical First Assist
- Robotics experience
- Experience in GYN
- Experience in urology
- Experience in OB
- Experience in spine
- Experience in other specialties
- Graduate of an accredited PA, NP, RNFA, or CSA program
- Active state license
- National certifications (e.g., NCCPA for PAs, CNOR or RNFA for NPs)
