Job Summary
Surgical Enhanced Technologist role providing pre-, intra-, and post-operative support in the OR. Maintains and arranges surgical equipment, supplies, and instrumentation; assists surgeons and anesthesia staff; handles turnover and specimen/equipment processing; mentors colleagues and trains others on advanced tech such as lasers, robotics, and implantable devices; requires NBSTSA-certified CST, BLS, HS diploma, 1 year OR experience, 19 CE hours, and strict sterile-field compliance. Weekend, part-time position in Avon, IN.
Required Qualifications
- Requires a High School Diploma/GED
- Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist NBSTSA
- Basic Life Support Certification
- 1 year OR experience in the Skilled Technologist role or relevant experience
- Minimum 19 Contact Hours of Continuing Education
- Knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation
- Adherence to sterile field policies and regulations
- Documentation for regional committee review and interview
- Ability to train colleagues
- Experience with advanced technology in specialty areas (lasers, robotics, navigational tech, implantable devices)
