Surgical Coordinator/Patient Care Representative

Job Summary
Coordinate and manage the collection of all required documentation for scheduled surgical patients, collaborating with office-based surgical counselors to ensure charts are complete and ready for surgery. Retrieve missing documentation, medical records, test results, and clearances from physician offices, then prepare and organize surgical charts at least two weeks prior to the scheduled date. Welcome patients and visitors upon arrival, verify identities, register patients into the ASC system, and triage incoming telephone calls. Scan completed patient charts and documentation into the electronic medical record system at the end of each day.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of insurance verification
