Job Summary
Surgical Coordinators guide patients through the surgical process in ophthalmology, handling scheduling of procedures, patient education, gathering and documenting patient information, coordinating medical history and clearance, preparing surgery schedules, and performing ophthalmic testing and EMR documentation to support physicians in diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include coordinating with Nurse Practitioner and/or PCP, collecting payments, performing IOL measurements, and ensuring smooth patient experience with white-glove service.
