Job Summary
Schedule patient appointments, surgeries, and preoperative imaging while verifying insurance, referrals, and authorizations for all surgical and endovascular interventions. Maintain control of the surgery and endo schedule by documenting procedures in Medent and physician calendars, updating admissions, radiology, and specialty units. Coordinate with primary care physicians, patients, and surgeons to advise on procedures, manage post-op office visits, and complete necessary paperwork. Notify all appropriate individuals of scheduling changes and keep physicians informed on patient waiting status. Assist in optimizing scheduling and productivity with regular, predictable attendance.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of equipment and of devices required for surgery
- Coordination with primary care physicians, patient and surgeons
