Surgical Coordinator

Coordinate surgical scheduling for specified providers and locations while verifying patient insurance benefits, eligibility, and referrals. Provide excellent customer service to patients, referring providers, and healthcare professionals through in-person, telephonic, and written interactions. Contact review organizations to ensure prior approvals are met and present medical history, diagnosis, and prognosis to financial services. Assist patients with problem-solving barriers related to healthcare, finance, or social needs, including arranging interpreters or transportation. Manage incoming calls, emails, and messages to resolution while maintaining medical records with timely input of scans and test results. Work with the healthcare team to ensure smooth patient flow, resolve backlogs, and document unresolved concerns. Participate in staff meetings to provide constructive input for process improvements.
