Job Summary
Assist surgeon during surgeries and consultations as a Surgical Technician; seat patients, take vitals, monitor anesthesia, and ensure consent forms and treatment plans are properly completed. Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient instructions, obtain necessary medical clearances, maintain patient care standards, and adhere to OSHA and radiation-safety guidelines. Maintain accurate records and operate/maintain clinical equipment; prepare radiographs with proper exposure and positioning. Build rapport with patients and team, support patient experience, adapt to flexible duties, and uphold confidentiality. Requires CPR, X-ray certification, and willingness to pursue DAANCE certification after 6 months.
Required Qualifications
- Basic CPR Certification required
- X-ray Certification a MUST
- Oral and Maxillofacial Assisting/Dental Assistant Certification preferred
- Willing to become DAANCE certified after 6 months of employment
