Job Summary
Assist oral surgeons during procedures by preparing instruments, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring a smooth workflow in a fast-paced environment. Support patient care through postoperative education, follow-up instructions, and friendly communication while maintaining controlled substance safety and compliance protocols. Document all encounters accurately and uphold the highest standards of patient safety during daily operations. This role requires strong computer skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to teamwork. Basic life support certification is required, with employer-provided training available for candidates without prior dental experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic life support certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Knowledge of oral surgery procedures
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety
- Safety procedures required, including protection to minimize the risks from X-rays
- Potential long hours standing
- Overtime is sometimes required as needed to perform job functions
- Some travel as needed for training and to perform job functions
Desired Qualifications

- Previous dental experience
- Experience as an oral surgery assistant or dental assistant
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
