Job Summary
Assist the surgeon in surgical treatment of patients under direct supervision, utilizing interpretive skills and frequent interactive associations. Retrieve, communicate, or present information in written, auditory, or visual formats through spoken word, telephone, and manual dexterity. Maintain licensure as a Surgical Assistant with the Virginia Department of Health, with certification preferred. Requires three years of operating room experience and graduation from an accredited First Assistants program.
