Job Summary
Assist the surgeon in the surgical treatment of patients under direct supervision while interpreting, communicating, and presenting information in written, auditory, or visual formats. Utilize spoken word, telephone, and manual dexterity skills to facilitate interactive and consultative associations during procedures. Maintain licensure as a Surgical Assistant with the Virginia Department of Health and possess three years of operating room experience. Adhere to the goals of the Department of Surgery and the philosophy of the Division of Nursing.
