Surgical Assistant - OR

Apply principles of asepsis to maintain sterile environments and perform scrubbing duties including suctioning, tying, and retracting. Assist surgeons with patient positioning, closure techniques, and camera holding while organizing supplies and equipment for efficient department operations. Initiate intraoperative behavior unique to first assisting and perform preceptor duties for medical students, residents, and other students. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety and legal requirements, assist nurses in planning patient care, and effectively operate autoclave sterilization units. Charge for equipment and supplies, and assist in room turnover. Full-time and part-time positions available with shifts ranging from 2+ years of experience required.
